One Tottenham academy graduate, who is having an extremely impressive season out on loan, has been nominated for a huge prize in his first year in senior football.

George Abbott has been an extremely consistent performer in the base of the Notts County midfield this season, with the youngster showing maturity beyond his years in what is his first taste of men’s football.
Abbott’s displays this season have made him a fan favourite among the Notts County faithful, and the 19-year-old’s contribution has now been recognised as he has been nominated for a big prize.

While the teenager is rated highly at Hotspur Way due to his versatility, technical quality and tactical intelligence, he has shown another string to his bow this season, regularly making contributions in the final third.
Abbott has scored four goals and provided five assists in 36 league outings this campaign, with his contributions being key in aiding Notts County’s promotion push.
That is why the Tottenham man has now been nominated for League Two’s Young Player of the Season award. If the youngster wins, that will certainly be a huge statement ahead of his return to Hotspur Way this summer.
Alasdair Gold’s confident prediction about Abbott at Tottenham
Abbott’s displays in League Two have gone a bit under the radar, among some Spurs fans, but one journalist has been keeping a close eye on the youngster’s progress at Meadow Lane.
Back in February, Alasdair Gold predicted that Abbott could break into the Spurs first-team, insisting that the teenager has all the qualities to succeed at the highest level.
It remains to be seen if Tottenham loan out the youngster again next season or fast-track him into their first-team plans.
