Last term bore out a title race full of twists and turns as the Gunners were part of three teams challenging for the biggest honour in English domestic football. As Liverpool fell away eventually, Man City were left to do their thing.
Indeed, Pep Guardiola‘s men powered to a record fourth consecutive Premier League title, while Mikel Arteta and co. fell short by just two points – despite picking up two more wins than the Invincibles managed. The Reds claimed third place, while Aston Villa just edged Spurs to grab the final Champions League spot.

Guardiola’s Man City will not extend their record-breaking streak of top flight crowns. The Supercomputer has predicted that his side will still finish in third spot on, by their standards, a measly 71points.
It would mark the first time the Citizens have finished below the top two since Guardiola’s first season in charge in the 2016/17 campaign, thus leaving them nearly 20 points astray of long-term adversaries, Liverpool.

Chris Wood and co. are firing on all cylinders at the minute, and after flirting with relegation last term, the Garibaldi do look set for a return to European football, a place many of the older generation will claim they deserve. Newcastle United are flying at the moment and are expected to take the fifth and final Champions League berth.
Enzo Maresca and Chelsea, according to the Supercomputer, will be unable to regain some sort of form from the start of the season. They are predicted to finish in sixth place. The Blues have won just six of their previous 17 league fixtures, and the supercomputer feels that worrying trend is set to ebb and flow until May. As for who will take the final places in the top eight, it is set to be Aston Villa and Bournemouth. Fulham and Brighton are tipped to finish in ninth and 10th, each landing on a respectable 56 and 54 points respectively.

Crystal Palace, under the guidance of Oliver Glasner, are expected to just miss out on a finish inside the top 10, finishing 12th with 47 points. Brentford will struggle to balance the contrast between their home and away form but finish one place higher than the Eagles in 11th. At the time of writing, the Bees are eighth in the table when it comes to their home form, but down in 13th on the road.
Everton have done well to pull themselves away from safety ever since David Moyes made his heroic return to the club, as have Wolves, who have been mightily impressive in recent weeks with Vitor Pereira at the helm.
There’s perhaps nobody who will feel more disappointed should the Supercomputer be correct than Ruben Amorim. The Supercomputer has predicted a dismal end to the season for Manchester United’s, with them finishing 16th come May 25.
If this proves to be the case, it’ll be the Red Devils’ worst-ever Premier League finish, and they will finish a massive 47 points behind Liverpool, as the post-Ferguson blues continue to trudge on at a worrying rate.
Due to finish with the same number of points – but ahead in the table thanks to goal difference – is Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham. It’s been a horrific season for the north London side, who could endure their lowest points totals in the Premier League era.
West Ham are set to finish below the two fallen giants in 17th, but well clear of the relegation zone with a predicted 41 points.
