Nottingham Forest Eye Blockbuster Midfield Signing This Summer

Nottingham Forest are preparing to submit an offer for Inter midfielder Davide Frattesi, but the Italian international still faces an important decision over his future this summer.

According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, later confirmed by Tuttosport, Forest are expected to present a proposal worth around €25 million, including bonuses, as they attempt to bring the midfielder to the Premier League ahead of the new season.

Inter, however, are believed to value Frattesi closer to €30 million, meaning negotiations may not be straightforward despite Forest’s growing interest. The Serie A giants are open to listening to offers, especially as the midfielder no longer appears central to their long-term plans under Cristian Chivu.

Frattesi endured a frustrating 2026-27 campaign with the Nerazzurri, struggling to establish himself as a regular starter. The 25-year-old started only six matches across all competitions, scoring no goals while providing three assists during the season.

Although he made 47 appearances overall, most came from the bench, and he accumulated just 1,133 minutes of playing time throughout the campaign.

Despite Nottingham Forest’s determination to secure his signature, Frattesi is not short of options. Roma, Napoli and Juventus are all monitoring his situation closely and could still make moves before the transfer window closes.

That leaves the midfielder at a crossroads. He can either accept a fresh challenge in the Premier League with Nottingham Forest or remain patient in the hope that a major Serie A club formalises its interest.
