Liverpool ‘stance’ on Mohammed Kudus emerges amid new transfer plan
Latest Liverpool transfer news and gossip with updates on West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus and AC Milan forward Christian Pulisic
Liverpool are being linked with two new forwards based on the latest transfer rumours that have emerged. There are just two months for the Reds to wait before the January transfer window opens and new signings can be added to the squad.
It remains to be seen which players, if any, Liverpool will look to sign in the New Year. Federico Chiesa and Giorgi Mamardashviliwere signed by the Reds in the summer, with the latter spending the campaign on loan at Valencia.
Arne Slot will be working alongside sporting director Richard Hughes to form a plan of what to do in the January transfer window. Liverpool have been linked with several potential new signings ahead of the New Year, but it’s unclear if any have any basis of truth as things stand.
Liverpool are once again being linked with a move for West Ham star Mohammed Kudus. According to Sky Sports reporter Sacha Tavolieri, the Reds are keeping tabs on Kudus’ future with the Hammers but will face competition from Arsenal for his signature.
The report claims that Kudus will have a release clause in his contract worth £85 million at the end of the season. However, it has been reported that Liverpool have no intentions of activating the clause due to the size of the fee involved, and the same applies to Arsenal.
West Ham will reportedly only allow Kudus to leave the club if the aforementioned release clause is met. As a result, it remains to be seen if the apparent interest from Liverpool will lead to any significant move in the transfer market.
Elsewhere, Liverpool are being credited with an interest in signing AC Milan forward Christian Pulisic. According to Calciomercato, the Reds will battle Manchester United and West Ham for the United States international’s signature.
A move in January has not been ruled out, but Milan are seemingly determined to keep Pulisic at the San Siro for longer than the 18 months he has been at the club. The report claims that the Serie A giants likely value Pulisic at more than €60million (£50million).
