While King acknowledged that bringing in Yang was necessary under the circumstances, he also cautioned against expecting too much too soon from the youngster.

“What has caused Spurs to rush Yang to England.
“I’d imagine the list of injuries, which includes the likes of Richarlison and Wilson Odobert. However, I don’t think that Yang is going to be the player to turn things around for the club.
“Obviously Spurs feel as though this is someone worth bringing to the club ahead of schedule. However, it is hardly a massive decision, is it? It is only a matter of weeks before he is meant to come anyway.
“I think he is being brought in because of the injury situation.”
Despite these challenges, Yang’s performances in the K League 1 have been nothing short of outstanding. The winger has contributed 12 goals and six assists in 38 appearances this season, demonstrating his ability to operate effectively on either wing.
