New owners are on their way to Goodison Park with Everton finally set to see Farhad Moshiri pass the keys over.
It has been a long wait for Everton fans who have seen numerous parties come and go over the last year, but the end is near.
The Friedkin Group are set to take over Everton this week with Premier League approval reportedly provided last week.
Sean Dyche may now be starting to feel the heat rise despite the recent bad weather on Merseyside as his position at the club comes under questions.
It is expected The Friedkin Group will sack both Dyche and Kevin Thelwell in the New Year as they look to put their own stamp on the club.
Jamie Carragher worried about Everton’s recruitment for Sean Dyche
The Everton boss has almost been in the dugout for two years now having taken over back in January 2023.
It has certainly been a rocky tenure for the 53-year-old with Dyche receiving criticism from Everton fans this season following an underwhelming start.
This comes on the back of a summer transfer window which did look fairly promising on paper.
But Carragher has questioned whether the signings for Dyche have been good enough with barely any of them actually making an impact on his starting XI.
“You know, the sporting director is Kevin Thelwell. You know what I think about Sean Dyche at Everton, from when he came in, any player he’s bought virtually they’re still not really in his first XI, maybe Ndiaye this season,” he said speaking on The Overlap.“But if we go: Pickford was there before he come, the left back, Mykolenko was there. Branthwaite was there, Tarkowski was there, Dwight McNeil was there. Calvert-Lewin was there. Doucoure he was there. Gueye was there. Michael Keane was already there.
“They haven’t spent loads of money, they’ve bought five or six players for £15-20m, they don’t play.”
Carragher has spoken positively about Everton’s new stadium, but it is apparent he feels there is a clear issue between those at the top of the club.
Signing so many players over the summer for only one to have a real impact on the starting XI highlights an issue in the club’s recruitment.
