‘They Rate Him Among the Best’ – Fabrizio Romano Makes Massive Man Utd-Newcastle Revelation”

Manchester United are being linked with a move for Newcastle United’s Sporting Director, Dan Ashworth.

The Red Devils are undergoing a real reshuffle behind the scenes after Jim Ratcliffe’s minority investment into the club.

A part of that reshuffle includes a complete transformation of the recruitment department, and a new Sporting Director is needed.

Ashworth has been linked, and according to Fabrizio Romano, speaking on Kick, the Newcastle chief is very highly rated at Old Trafford.

Indeed, according to Romano, Manchester United genuinely believe that Ashworth is one of the best Sporting Directors in the world these days.

Man Utd think Ashworth is one of the best in the world

Romano shared what he knows about the Newcastle transfer guru.

“Dan Ashworth is considered for sure another candidate, let’s see if INEOS go for a structure with one person in charge of transfer strategy or two or three. The appreciation for Ashworth is concrete and real, they rate him as one of the best directors around the world, they really like what he’s done in his career,” Romano said.

Fantastic

Man Utd think that Ashworth is one of the best around at his job, and we can’t help but agree.

The former Brighton man has been doing incredible work in the transfer market for a long time now.

He’s brought in some fantastic players at Newcastle over the past 18 months, while he did incredible work at Brighton beforehand.

We all know how much Brighton’s recruitment is the envy of the Premier League right now, and most of that incredible work was done by Ashworth.

Manchester United continue to make the wrong signings at the wrong times under so many different managers, they’re desperate for a Sporting Director who knows what he’s doing and Ashworth ticks that box.

This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on as Ratcliffe overhauls the backroom at Old Traffor
