Sean Dyche has held talks with the Friedkin Group about his future with Everton after their takeover of the club, according to a report from The Athletic.
It was confirmed last week that the US-based group had purchased a majority controlling stake in the Toffees from Farhad Moshiri.
It has previously been suggested that they would give their backing to the 53-year-old, and it now seems as though that has been communicated to him personally.
According to this update, the new Everton owners have held conversations with Dyche in which he was told he has the support of the Friedkin Group for the forseeable future.
Even so it was also noted that such a stance could change depending on results, with the former Burnley boss – who is out of contract this summer – effectively being auditioned for a place in the club’s new era.

There is no denying that one way or another, Dyche surely has to be feeling the pressure on his position with the club right now.
Keeping him in post makes a lot of sense for the time being in order to try and ensure Everton are a Premier League club when they move into their new stadium next season.
Beyond that though, it seems clear that with the Toffees in a much more secure financial position following the takeover by the Friedkins.
Those new owners will want to take the club further forward than the relegation battle they currently find themselves flirting with for another season.
Dyche may therefore have to prove that he is the right man to take Everton in that direction, and there are already questions about whether his style of play is right for that.
With that in mind, simply keeping the club in the Premier League this season might not be enough for the 53-year-old when it comes to his long-term future on the blue half of Merseyside, with his expiring contract potentially making the decision to move on from him all the easier.
