Sean Dyche called out over Everton comments ahead of Bournemouth match
The Toffees have struggled in attack again this term, with the likes of Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin consistently underperforming.
The Merseyside outfit currently sit 16th in the Premier League table and are just two points adrift of 18th-placed Ipswich Town.
While speaking in his pre-Bournemouth press conference on 2 January, the former Burnley boss claimed that nailing the attack is the most difficult area to coach, which sparked the following reaction from The Esk.
“Re Dyche’s press conference, it makes absolutely no sense that the area of the game he calls most difficult (& the area we underperform most in) is the one area he chooses not to have specialist coaching in,” he wrote via his personal X account (2 January).

The Toffees’ defence has been in fairly decent form this term, especially in recent weeks, but the attack has left an awful lot to be desired.Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil are the exceptions to this as they’ve been Everton’s best players this season.
However, others such as Calvert-Lewin, Beto and even Armando Broja need to step things up a gear otherwise the Merseyside outfit could find themselves in a bit of a pickle.
