Everton USA fanbase delighted after club confirms Premier League summer tour across three cities
The North American Toffees hope to mobilise supporters in their thousands to back the Blues on their return across the Atlantic
Everton’s US fanbase has expressed delight at news the club will be crossing the Atlantic in the summer. The Blues are set to play three games in the States, taking on Bournemouth, Manchester United and West Ham United in the second edition of the Premier League Summer Series.
The news, announced on Sunday evening, sparked a wave of interest across the club’s US fanbase, which now includes more than 40 supporter clubs.
Responding to the announcement, oversight organisation the North American Toffees group, which brought almost 100 supporters across to Goodison Park for the Man United match last month, said they looked forward to mobilising in their thousands to support David Moyes and the team.

Whether that be ex-pats who’ve moved with their families, or those who have been chosen. With now more than 40 supporter clubs from every corner of North America, the connection, sense of belonging and passion for our club runs deep.”
Everton have fan groups based in Chicago, New Jersey and Atlanta – the three cities the Blues will be competing in. It had long been expected the club would return to the USA this summer, a sentiment intensified by the takeover of the Houston-based Friedkin Group, which was completed in December.
The club last travelled to the USA three summers ago under Frank Lampard. His squad was based in Washington DC while they trained nearby before games against Arsenal in Baltimore and Minnesota United in St Paul.
This trip will see Everton face Bournemouth at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 26, West Ham at Soldier Field in Chicago on July 30 and Man United at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on August 3.
Looking ahead to the trip, defender James Tarkowski said: “We’ve found out about the trip over the last few days and we are super excited. We enjoy meeting fans from far and wide, and this is a great opportunity for people to come to see us play and prepare for the new season.
“I know we’ve got a big fanbase in North America already but spreading the name of Everton is always good. We have new American ownership, a new stadium, a new manager, so it’s exciting. We are looking forward to the future – and that starts with next season and the Summer Series over in the U.S.”
