The transfer window opens on the 1st of June and Everton have drawn up a list of targets ready to attack it.

David Moyes has made it no secret that Everton are facing a summer of change, with several players out of contract.

In fact, Moyes admitted it’s probably more business than he’d like to do, and he’s still hopeful the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Idrissa Gana Gueye will stay on Merseyside.

The Toffees are looking to add more goals to their side this summer, with the lack of them really plaguing development in recent seasons.

Moyes wants Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap and the Friedkins are willing to offer the 21-year-old a sizeable contract in the hope of beating Chelsea and Manchester United to his signature.

Everton are also eyeing Sheffield United’s Gustavo Hamer and fans have had a lot to say about that transfer link over the last 48 hours.

Everton react to potentially signing Sheffield United star Gus Hamer

Everton fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to react to the links about Sheffield United talisman Gustavo Hamer.

It’s fair to say, they’d be really happy with the potential acquisition.

“What a signing this would be man,” @GulIiford posted.

“Good box to boxer with an eye for the right pass at the right time, excellent No.10,” @lgormley1961 added.

@michael77798846 said: “Get it done – I’d have him in a heartbeat.”

“18 goal contributions from midfield, only surprising thing for me is he hasn’t went to the Premiership sooner. Be a good pick up this if true, someone to come in and fight for a place in the squad,” @MrEverton1878 explained.

@Evertoningen commented: “Type of player that would fit this club.”

@Tonyyates1878 said: “Be on board with this. Good player.”
Hamer stats 2024/25

Hamer enjoyed a terrific season for the Blades and was actually voted the Championship Player of the Season.

The former Coventry City playmaker was directly involved in 18 goals, helping Chris Wilder’s side to the play-off final, before a heartbreaking last-minute defeat to Sunderland.

46 appearances
10 goals
8 assists

It’s understood Sheffield United have slapped an £18m price tag on Hamer, which has also alerted newly-promoted Leeds United.

The Toffees are expected to have the upper hand in that potential transfer battle, though.
