Cristian Romero has been one of the many star player casualties that has cast such a cloud over Tottenham’s season.

The never-ending casualty list have played a factor in Spurs having such an underwhelming campaign, with the club currently 12th in the Premier League table and Ange Postecoglou consistently forced to manage without key men.

Former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson revealed to Football Insider that the Australian manager is set to be given “one last chance” to save his Tottenham job when he has all of his squad fit and available.

Destiny Udogie was the latest player to return from injury, bolstering Tottenham’s squad depth ahead of the run in.

Cristian Romero is one of the players that Postecoglou has been without for much of the season, having only played 14 times in all competitions.

The Argentina international has suffered a toe and hamstring injury this season, with his last Premier League appearance being on 8 December.

Tottenham fans don’t think Romero is worth the money

Romero is currently under contract at Tottenham until 2027, but according to TBRFootball, that is something Spurs are looking to extend.

Spurs are reportedly set to make him the highest-paid player at the club, which is something that fans are against.

Because why increase his salary if he can’t stay fit

This is utterly painful. Cristian Romero and VDV best defender In the team. Turned to liability. This is unacceptable. They contract should be terminated as this point. Disgusting

I really like Romero, but If you’re gonna do a pretty bold thing and take it off Sonny, it has to be Kulu (followed by a new contract) I honestly don’t see Romero signing a new deal this season.
