Leeds United could potentially further reinforce their defence with Fenerbahce centre-back Diego Carlos this transfer window.
The Brazilian ace linked up with Jose Mourinho in the winter transfer window after leaving Aston Villa, but his stint in Istanbul seems to already be in the final stages.
Carlos is a serious target at Elland Road, with the Whites thinking about making a formal offer for him.
Fenerbahce are open to the ex-Villa defender’s exit, and would accept a loan bid from the West Yorkshire outfit with a mandatory option to buy, with further developments now emerging.

Carlos told to find new club as Leeds United interested in transfer
Carlos’ representatives have been told to fund a new club for him, according to Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.
The YS TV journalist revealed on X (25 July) that the 32-year-old isn’t in Mourinho’s plans for the upcoming campaign.
Leeds will be wary of Carlos’ consistent fitness issues during his time in the Premier League, but he could potentially be seen as a backup option.

Carlos’ combined record at Aston Villa and Fenerbahce last season.
The Brazilian centre-back has vast experience, winning the Europa League with Sevilla, and if it weren’t for his injuries, he may have been a key player for Unai Emery at Villa Park.
The Whites have already signed several defenders this summer, but more additions shouldn’t be ruled out in case of departures before the end of August from Elland Road.

Farke may need Carlos transfer if Pascal Struijk leaves
James Debayo has left Leeds after his contract expired and is now attracting interest from clubs in England and Belgium.
Farke arguably wouldn’t be concerned about the Whites’ defence after Jaka Bijol and Sebastiaan Bornauw’s arrival.
The West Yorkshire outfit should rightly focus on bolstering their attack after six additions combined in the backline and engine room, unless one of their top defenders leaves.
Leeds may look to cash in on Pascal Struijk this summer, with an unpopular sale not out of the question at Elland Road.
If the Dutch centre-back does depart, Carlos may be a decent option to reinforce the backline, but only time will tell how his situation will unfold.
