Grealish is on a season-long loan at Everton from Manchester City.
Jack Grealish posted – and then deleted – an Instagram story post minutes after Manchester City lost 2-1 to Brighton.
City went in front at the Amex Stadium against Brighton through Erling Haaland, but fell to defeat after second-half goals from James Milner and Brajan Gruda.
It is Pep Guardiola’s side’s second defeat in their three Premier League matches so far this season after last Saturday’s 2-0 home loss to Spurs.
Grealish is on a season-long loan at Everton and, unlike his parent club City, has enjoyed a superb start to the campaign.
The England international has contributed four assists in his first three appearances for the Toffees, having been given much more freedom in David Moyes’ tactical system.
The move has already begun to rejuvenate Grealish’s career after he was rarely used by Guardiola during the 2024/25 season.
It is the first time Grealish has played at least three games in a row since September 2024 – something that he made light of an Instagram post.
He wrote, alongside a laughing emoji and a dark blue heart: “Feels so good to finally play three matches in a row.”
