Jose Mourinho will be the next Everton manager’ – betting odds slashed

Everton fans believe Jose Mourinho is in line to be the next manager of the club after betting odds on him taking the job have been slashed.

Sean Dyche is currently under significant pressure at Goodison Park due to an underwhelming first half of the season which has left the club 16th in the table and just a point above the relegation zone.

Man City STEALING Bruno Guimaraes From Newcastle – Borson: Available for £66m

Football Insider revealed that the 53-year-old is in an “untenable” position as the pressure of the sack from the supporters is growing, leaving him “swimming against the tide.”

The Friedkin Group could look to sack Dyche as they aim to bring in their first official appointment, which could see them work with Mourinho again who they hired at Roma.

The 61-year-old is currently in charge of Fenerbahce, but the recent drop in odds has made fans believe he could take over at Goodison Park as BetVictor made him the 8/11 favourite to replace Dyche.

Mourinho was linked with the job earlier this season, and after Dyche has failed to improve results the talk surrounding him returning to the Premier League hasn’t gone away.

Jose Mourinho could bring his approach to Everton

Mourinho hasn’t coached in England since his spell at Tottenham came to an end in 2019, but he has a vast amount of experience in the Premier League following spells at Chelsea and Man United.

The Portuguese coach has previously expressed a desire to coach a team in England that isn’t playing in any European competition, and Everton could tick that box for him.

The possibility of Mourinho heading to Merseyside has excited fans as they believe he’s guaranteed to get “Goodison Park rocking.”
