The Liverpool-based club have struggled mightily since controversially left for Manchester United, and will be hoping he can inspire the club to top six finishes like he did in his first spell.

Profit and sustainability rules will limit the transfer budget that Moyes has to work with, and sources told Football Insider that the owners have pumped £233million into the club to help with repaying existing loans and paying for the new stadium development.

Moyes will likely have to look for loan or bargain-price options to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window, as reported by Football Insider’s Peter O’Rourke.
