West Ham hope to recruit new players this month and are considering two players.
West Ham United are considering a stunning double swoop from a top six Premier League club to kick-start the Graham Potter era.
Potter took charge of his first West Ham game on Friday following his appointment.
He watched his side take an early lead against Aston Villa in their FA Cup tie as Lucas Paqueta swept home.
But Villa turned things around in the second-half to secure a 2-1 victory, with Ian Wright left fuming over the controversial moment during the cup clash.
Potter will oversee his first Premier League match for West Ham next Tuesday when they resume their league campaign against Fulham.
The Hammers currently occupy 14th place in the table, with 23 points on the board.
Potter could be active during the January transfer window as he looks to resurrect his new side’s campaign.
According to TEAMtalk, Potter is eyeing a double Chelsea swoop, with Ben Chilwell and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall under consideration.
Chilwell is deemed surplus to requirements at Chelsea, having made just one appearance this season.
His future lies away from Stamford Bridge, with Enzo Maresca confirming he won’t be using the left-back in their FA Cup game as he looks to offload the player this month.
Chilwell, 28, had been linked with a move away during the summer, but a deal failed to materialse, with a January transfer believed to be on the cards.
As for Dewsbury-Hall, he’s hardly featured in the league since his summer switch from Leicester City.
He’s mainly played in Chelsea’s Europa Conference League campaign.
Dewsbury-Hall, 26, wants to stay in England’s top flight as West Ham consider making an official approach.

Despite West Ham losing at Villa Park, Potter was encouraged with his team’s performance.
“The emotions were excitement,” he said during his post-match press conference. “Friday night, Villa Park, full house, 6,500 West Ham fans who were amazing.

“Our performance gave me a lot of encouragement, the way the players tried to do what we asked them to do. We’re just disappointed now because we’re out and wanted to go through.
“We just try to get the team into a good shape. The talent is there but it’s just about trying to get the team together as a collective. That’s what we’re trying to do.”
