Football finance expert Stefan Borson has given talkSPORT an insight into what could happen should Leicester be sanctioned.
The Foxes were confirmed to have avoided breaching Profit and Sustainability rules for the 2023/24 period this morning.
But they remain at risk of a breach for the 2022/23 financial year, with the club and Premier League still in an ongoing battle.
If they are found guilty of breaching PSR rules for that period, then a hefty sanction may come their way.
Borson said on White and Jordan today: “There is still a case that’s outstanding that if the Premier League win, then Leicester are going to be found in breach of 22/23 by £20million.
“They will have been found to have not cooperated, they will have been found to have not given an early admission.
“And therefore, we can estimate that there is going to be five to six points [deducted] probably.”
Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou just can’t catch a break.
Their season has been littered with injuries, and they’ve been missing multiple key players for a lot of the campaign.
Cristian Romero is still out along with Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie, Guglielmo Vicario, Ben Davies and Wilson Odobert.
Rodrigo Bentancur joined the list of casualties last time out too, after he was stretchered off with a nasty injury.
But the woes aren’t stopping there, as Postecoglou has just confirmed that there is another issue.
Providing a team news update ahead of the North London derby against Arsenal tomorrow night, he said: “The only one who picked up an injury was Timo [Werner].
“It’s a hamstring injury and we’re waiting on the results of that scan.”
That means Werner is likely to miss the clash with Arsenal, leaving Tottenham with even more limited options in the squad.
A front three of Heung-min Son, Brennan Johnson and Dominic Solanke is likely to be the only choice now.
The Spurs boss did have one positive update though, revealing a key forward in
Richarlison is available to return.
