Hall has stayed behind for extra training to ensure he improves, and that dedication resulted in him making his England debut last year. While last season he could not get in Eddie Howe’s team, Hall is now recognised as one of the Premier League’s best left-backs.

Lewis Hall inspired by Newcastle United teammate Dan Burn
The 20-year-old deserves a huge amount of credit for the work he has put in, while there are also people at the club who deserve praise for inspiring Hall to take his game to the next level.
One of those people is Dan Burn.
That is according to Hall, who was asked by Michael Bridges for the Optus Sport YouTube channel if anyone at Newcastle or Chelsea have inspired him with their professionalism.
“Everyone approaches training differently,” he said.
“Everyone recovers differently and different things work for different players.
“For me, since I’ve come here I think Dan Burn is one for me whose professionalism is probably one of the best I have seen along with Thiago Silva when I was at Chelsea.
“I know they are both really experienced players, but the professionalism from them two is top drawer and it’s something that has inspired me and made me realise that’s how I need to be if I want to stay as fit as possible.”

Hall’s praise of Burn sums up his role at St James’ Park.
The 32-year-old truly is an inspiration. He is a leader on and off the pitch, and is someone who, along with Kieran Trippier, has helped raise standards at the club.
Eddie Howe says Dan Burn is one of his best signings, and it has proven to be £13million well spent. Three years later and he is still pivotal to this team, with Anthony Gordon calling Burn Newcastle’s player of the season.
That is a fair assessment, and sums up how impressive he has been on the pitch. That is aided by the way he conducts himself off the pitch, which has acted as inspiration for players like Hall.
Youngsters need senior pros to look up to, and Hall has certainly got that in Burn.
