Tottenham’s injury issues show no sign of abating!
Radu Dragusin is expected to miss the rest of the season after injuring the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee.
The Romanian centre-back will undergo an operation in London soon and will be sidelined for six months.
Spurs, who hope Dragusin will return this summer ahead of a return early next season, are interested in Axel Disasi as his replacement.
Dragusin sustained the injury during last week’s Europa League game against Elfsborg, having only been introduced at half-time.
He lasted just 20 minutes after replacing Micky van de Ven, who himself was making his first appearance since returning from injury.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have been ravaged by various fitness issues this season, with fellow centre-back Cristian Romero still sidelined.
The extensive absentee list includes goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, Brennan Johnson, Dominic Solanke, Destiny Udogie and Rodrigo Bentancur in the treatment room.
Also unavailable to Postecoglou are Timo Werner, Fraser Forster, Wilson Odobert, and, now Dragusin.
