Harry Kane has been told to make a transfer to Arsenal this summer despite his history to Tottenham, by Simon Jordan.

The Gunners are set to finish second for a third consecutive season, with Mikel Arteta bemoaning his sides treatment from referee’s in a difficult season.

Kai Havertz will miss the rest of the campaign following hamstring surgery, and the North London side have been without Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka since the turn of the year.

The lack of a clinical finisher was on show in their recent game against West Ham, failing to score against their London rivals despite having 20 shots, and again as they were held to a goalless draw by Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.

A move to Arsenal would undoubtedly be controversial, given Kane’s history at rivals Tottenham, the Gunners are seemingly a guaranteed goal-getter away from a Premier League title, making them an interesting proposition for the England captain.

Kane would offer little by way of re-sale for the Gunners, but the appeal of being able to sign the Premier League’s second all-time goal-scorer may be too great.

Liverpool have thrived by relying on Mohamed Salah to score their goals this season, and if they can convince the Egyptian to sign a contract extension, Kane would be an unlikely target.

Man United are an unlikely landing destination, Jordan wrote in the MailOnline, given the club’s struggles.

Which leaves Eddie Howe’s Magpies, especially if Liverpool target Isak were to leave the club, as his injury absence in defeat to Liverpool on 26 February demonstrated his importance.

However, the Swedish striker’s potential cost will be a severe limitation to his exit in the summer, with few teams capable of meeting the £100million asking price being touted.

Newcastle must stand firm on keeping Alexander Isak despite the temptation of Harry Kane

With the Premier League keeping profit and sustainability rules (PSR) in place for next season, the Magpies will be forced to continue to exercise a degree of restraint in their transfer dealings.

Last summer, the club sold Yankuba Minteh and Elliot Anderson, and both players have flourished this season.

Despite the temptation of securing potentially upwards of £100million for Isak, the Sweden international would be tough to replace, and more importantly, has built a fantastic relationship with the club on, and off the pich
