Major twist emerges over future of Leeds United player Jack Harrison with talks already ongoing

Jack Harrison’s long-term future remains up in the air with his form at Everton unlikely to earn himself a permanent move and the winger boasting a contract at Leeds United until 2028.
One of the eight players to use Victor Orta’s loan clause in the summer of 2023, Harrison was one of two players to see his clause reactivated a year later. It saw Harrison rejoin Everton on loan for a second time.

Rasmus Kristensen is set to join Frankfurt for £6.5m, having also seen his loan clause become active for a second time. Harrison though, has not enjoyed such success at Everton – yet to lay on a goal or assist.
The winger laid on seven last season for Everton but Harrison has not scored since February 2024. With his future always going to be unlikely at Leeds after two years away on loan, an update has now emerged.

Jack Harrison in potential MLS return as Leeds future dismissed
Harrison of course, joined Leeds after a spell in the MLS with New York City alongside the likes of Andrea Pirlo, David Villa and Frank Lampard. For a period, Patrick Vieira was Harrison’s manager in The States.
Now, the Yorkshire Evening Post report that Harrison could make a surprise return across the pond. The 28-year-old has three years left on his Leeds contract, meaning any interested parties will have to pay up.
But, the YEP say Everton are unlikely to sign the £11m man permanently. A return to the Leeds fold under Daniel Farke is less likely. Talks have already been staged with his representatives over a move to the MLS.

YEP’s Harrison report comes after rumours of Leeds return
It had been earlier claimed that Harrison could actually make a return to Elland Road. A player with plenty of Premier League experience, the former Manchester City man might have been open to a Leeds return.

Indeed, Leeds will need Premier League experience this summer and Harrison’s potential ability to play as a left-back may have tempted Farke given Junior Firpo is out of contract. But that now looks very unlikely.
MLS clubs may struggle to afford a player that has played five successive seasons in England’s top tier but there is money with Mateusz Klich’s Atlanta spending £17.75m on Leeds target Emmanuel Latte Lath.
