Nottingham Forest 2025 summer transfers: Every confirmed signing and sale for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side
While all Nottingham Forest fans would have jumped for joy had you told them that their team would finish the 2024-25 season in seventh place in the Premier League, knowing how it all went down will certainly leave a bitter taste for some of them.
Led by Nuno Espirito Santo, Forest ended 2024 in second place and had a great opportunity to secure a spot in the Champions League, but they had to be satisfied with Conference League qualification after they ran out of steam in the final third of the season.
Forest are yet to add to their squad, but that could change in the coming weeks with the Premier League side widely expected to sign three Botofago players once the Brazilian side have finished their obligations at the Club World Cup, including striker Igor Jesus.
He has made a notable impression in the United States, scoring in games against the Seattle Sounders and Paris Saint-Germain to raise expectations ahead of his transfer to the City Ground.
They will hope to build a squad capable of maintaining their top-seven spot in the Premier League all while competing in the 2025-26 Conference League.
Callum Hudson-Odoi and Morgan Gibbs-White are among those who have been linked with potential moves away from the City Ground during the summer market.
Meanwhile, there is talk of foreign interest in players such as Jota Silva, a valuable squad member who was limited to five Premier League starts in 2024-25.
For obvious reasons, head coach Nuno will want to keep his key players at the club, including Anthony Elanga, who is currently the subject of interest from Newcastle United.
Forest are believed to have already rejected an offer in the region of £50m for Elanga, with the Magpies potentially returning with a fresh bid for the Sweden international in the near future.
The Reds are due to begin their preparations for the new campaign with a pre-season friendly against Chesterfield on July 12.
Forest are building towards their Premier League opener against Brentford on August 17, which will take place in front of their own supporters.
Nuno’s side will then make the trip to Crystal Palace on August 23 for their second game of the season, and it will be fascinating to see the squad that is in place for the new campaign.
