West Ham are closing in on their first summer signing after agreeing personal terms with Yuri Alberto.
Despite the 2024/25 campaign not yet being over, West Ham are wasting no time in preparing for the upcoming season.
It has certainly been a poor year, with Julen Lopetegui being sacked at the start of 2025, while Graham Potter has been less than impressive since his appointment.
However, West Ham are clearly prepared to back the Englishman this summer as they close in on the signing of Yuri Alberto.

The 24-year-old Brazilian striker has impressed at Corinthians since he joined the club in 2022.
During his time at the club, he has played 174 times, scoring 65 goals and picking up 19 assists.
In the 2024 season, he finished as the top scorer in the Brasileiro Serie A and was subsequently named in the Team of the Season.
On top of this, he also helped Corinthians win the Campeonato Paulista in 2025.

Now, according to The Times (25 April), the club has agreed personal terms with Yuri Alberto as they look to completely reshape the squad.
It is believed that West Ham are pursuing at least one centre back, cover at full back, two or three midfielders and possibly a forward and goalkeeper.
The club are believed to be interested in Aaron Ramsdale and Adam Webster to help fill the other positions.

It is no secret that West Ham’s attack has struggled over the years. Only Jarrod Bowen has been a consistent scorer for the Hammers, with many of the club’s striker purchases being underwhelming.
However, Yuri Alberto could finally put an end to this terrible record.
The striker clearly knows where the back of the net is and has been clinical in the Brazilian league for many years now.
Questions will be asked if he can make the jump to the Premier League from South America. However, many Brazilians have recently made the jump to the English top-flight with ease, including Wolves duo Andre and Joao Gomes.
The challenge for West Ham will now be getting the transfer over the line and ensuring Yuri Alberto is a Hammer before the end of the summer.
