THE KING HAS SPOKEN – CELTIC FANS CAN’T GET OVER SIR KENNY DAGLISH CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE, HE HAS MELT EVERYONE’S HEART WITH THAT ONE

SIR KENNY DALGLISH won four league titles as a Celtic player.

And Hoops fans have been loving his comment marking the current crop’s fourth championship triumph in a row.

Celtic thumped Dundee United 5-0 at Tannadice on Saturday lunchtime to seal the Scottish Premiership title once again.

Parkhead icon Dalglish, 74, had a double reason to celebrate this weekend.

That’s after the two clubs he represented – Celtic and Liverpool – both won their respective league titles on the same weekend.

After the Hoops got their championship over the line, Dalglish took to social media to hail the achievement.

Some Celts supporters couldn’t help but wonder if he was taking a cheeky pop towards Rangers with his words.

Dalglish shared an image of the Celtic squad with a ‘champions’ banner over them.

Alongside the image, he said: “Champions of Scotland!

“Congratulations to everyone associated with Celtic Football Club.

“A Scottish record 55th league title! 🏆💚”

Celtic’s triumph was indeed their 55th Scottish title.

That’s also the number of championships Rangers reached when they lost won the league in 2021.

Officially, it’s therefore a joint-record.

Some Hoops fans, including snooker star John Higgins, decide not to recognise the titles won by the Gers prior to their financial implosion, insisting that only the one won in the years following that should count.

And many Celts supporters couldn’t help but wonder if that was also on Dalglish’s mind!

One fan said: “Sir Kenneth has spoken.”

A second posted: “Kenny knows the craic.”
