On Saturday, Celtic thrashed Dundee United to claim the 2024/25 title, and fourth in a row, including the same number for manager, Brendan Rodgers.
The Northern Irishman made the big call to return to Celtic during the summer of 2023 when Ange Postecoglou left for Tottenham.
The simple reason is that many inside Celtic Park didn’t take it too kindly when he left for Leicester City in 2019, midway through the campaign.
Fast forward to the present, and it’s interesting how things are starting to pan out for Rodgers and Postecoglou at their respective clubs.
Postecoglou is on course for the sack, as Spurs prepare for the Europa League semi-final clash against an opponent Celtic, unfortunately, know too well in FK Bodø/Glimt.
But could Rodgers be returning to the Premier League anytime soon?

Brendan Rodgers backed to stay at Celtic despite Tottenham suggestion
The Celtic manager’s current contract expires during the summer of 2026, and he has made it clear that, unlike last time, he is going nowhere and will see out his deal.
That doesn’t mean he will extend his stay, but Peter Grant believes he will stand by his words this time, even when the suggestion of Tottenham was put on the table.
Alan Hutton told Premier Sports that Rodgers is playing a ‘dodgy’ game by making it clear he will ‘150% stay’, because a club like Tottenham could come calling.
“You know what will be interesting, you see with the Brendan situation, after saying that ‘150%’ (Rodgers will stay),” said Hutton.
“Can you imagine a big team comes in for him in the summer? He has put himself in a dodgy situation saying that.”
Darrell Currie added: “I just don’t think, given what happened first time around, I genuinely believe it doesn’t actually matter what might happen in the summer. He is going to stay.”
Hutton raised the situation: “If it were a Tottenham, for example.”
Grant then interrupted: “I agree with you (Currie) in that respect. I think he will 100%, he will stay, because he said he was going to be here for the three years, unless he gets sacked.
“That’s what will happen (he will stay). He might not sign a new contract. That’s the difference. But, this particular year, I think Brendan will be sitting in May, ‘well, okay, let’s see how we step forward here’ – that’s a massive signing for the club. Talk about players. Brendan would be a massive signing for the club.”

The duo have one thing in common, and that’s winning the Treble in the colours of green and white.
