A day poised to deliver more glory didn’t get off to the best start for Leeds, though, as a Sam Byram own goal gave the hosts an early lead.
With Plymouth boasting a strong record against the Championship’s top 10, there were fears that Daniel Farke’s men could throw away the title to Burnley.
But just as they have all season, Leeds fought back in the second period with Wilfried Gnonto dragging them level before Manor Solomon scored a dramatic 91st-minute solo goal to clinch the trophy.
It sparked incredible scenes at Home Park, where the Tottenham loanee was able to share his thoughts after the game and offer an update on his future.

We exclusively revealed in March that Leeds were willing to pay £10 million to sign Solomon permanently from Tottenham.
Spurs are demanding £20 million from the Whites to land the 25-year-old this summer, and after watching him amass 22 goal involvements in the Championship, he is certainly worth every penny.
Encouragingly for Leeds, the Israeli international spoke on the back of his title-clinching goal on Saturday, stating how it was a ‘dream come true’.
“I can’t put into words what I’m feeling right now. It is a dream come true to score the winning goal and take this Championship,” Solomon said via BBC Sport. “Throughout the season we’ve shown we deserve this trophy and to finish in the first spot. I’m so glad it happened.
“We all knew what was happening at Burnley and we knew we needed to score. It paid off and the ball went into the net. It will take me a few days to digest what happened today, right now I’m going to celebrate.”
Solomon also revealed how he’s going to sit down with both parties in the coming days to discuss future, admitting that he is in ‘love’ with Leeds United.
“I want to celebrate with my partner, with the club’s employees. We deserve it. I’ve been focussed on this season; in two or three days we will talk and see what is happening,” the electric winger said. “I don’t know what the future holds but I can just say I love [Leeds].”

Solomon has produced incredible consistency from wide areas for Leeds and it beggars belief how he wasn’t included in the Championship Team of the Season.
He was denied a place in the starting lineup by Norwich City duo Borja Sainz and Josh Sargent, while Leeds teammate Dan James was selected ahead of him.
Speaking about Solomon’s impact after the game, Farke labelled the above decision as a ‘joke’ and praised the fleet-footed winger as ‘outstanding’.

With their return to the Premier League on the horizon and a war chest of funds available to Farke, surely Solomon is one of the club’s first additions in the summer.
