The Davide Ancelotti to Rangers rumours delivered some good laughs for the Celtic support after the son of the legendary Carlo was tipped to take over the Ibrox hotseat.
Like most Rangers rumours, the Scottish press have been caught with their pants down after Ancelotti opted to go to Brazil with his dad to leave the Bears raging and Celtic fans in tears.
And now, Sutton has told how he really felt about those rumours and it seems to have annoyed the right person in Robbie Savage.

Ancelotti has never managed a single top-flight game in his entire coaching career. A fact glossed over by a gleeful Scottish media who were all wetting themselves at the prospect of the son of the famous coach coming to Scotland.
However, Sutton didn’t mince his words as he laughed about the rumour and he seems to have irked his co-host on the BBC.
Savage said on BBC 606, “Yeah, who would you bring to Rangers?”
Sutton replied, “Someone good.”
Savage: “Well, give us a name like you do with every caller.”
Sutton: “I don’t know. There is an interesting one. I think that there are Rangers fans out there who would have liked Barry to stay on. But I don’t know if you saw in the week the name Ancelotti.
Savage: “Ancelotti, yeah. Was it David Ancelotti? “
Sutton: “The truth is, when I saw that, I was thinking, blimey, this is massive news. Ancelotti. Well, that’s what I thought, blimey. Ancelotti going to Rangers and then I saw it was Davide. So, it just tickled me a bit.”
Savage: “That’s a bit disrespectful.”
Sutton (laughing): “No, it just tickled me. Wow. I mean, honestly, it just tickled me.”

The rumour certainly tickled the Celtic supporters who were left disappointed that another inexperienced coach wasn’t getting a chance to take over Scotland’s newest club.
Now that Barry Ferguson got the boot for failing to close the gap to Celtic, fans of both clubs are left eagerly waiting for the Ibrox club’s latest appointment but for very different reasons.
