After a relatively calm final day of fixtures, the 2024/25 Premier League has come to an end: Liverpool have now been given a champions parade around Anfield, Enzo Maresca-led Chelsea and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United secured Champions League action for next season and Manchester United managed to finish in 15th.
As a result of proceedings coming to an end, all 20 competing clubs are in line to receive their annual prize money payout – and last season, they were paid from a kitty of £2.84 billion from the Premier League, receiving a total of six payments as a result.
That includes merit payments, which derive from what position each team finishes the season in, and The Mirror has reported how much each team – from the title-winning Reds to bottom-placed Saints – are set to pocket now the 2024/25 top flight campaign has concluded.

Southampton, Ipswich Town, Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Wolverhampton Wanderers
By virtue of being commonly admired as one of the worst teams in Premier League history – as evidenced by their lowly 20th-placed finish, it should come as no surprise to understand that Southampton were given just £2.8m for their efforts.
Ipswich Town and Leicester City, too, have been demoted from the English top division but the two now-Championship outfits are set to pocket £5.7m and £8.5m, respectively.

At one point, relegation was on the cards for Manchester United according to Ruben Amorim – so finishing 15th, after beating Aston Villa on the final day, is much better than some expected. They are set to earn £16.9m, which is less than West Ham United (£19.7m).
Everton and this season’s FA Cup winners Crystal Palace, who finished 13th and 12th respectively, will be relatively happy with how 2024/25 has panned out, especially given they are set to earn plenty of money from doing so.
Marco Silva, once again, has performed brilliantly at the helm of Fulham – and that’s despite the west Londoners finishing just outside the top half. By virtue of their 11th-placed finish, the Craven Cottage outfit will pocket £28.2m.

Thomas Frank’s Brentford, Bournemouth – led by the impressive Andoni Iraola – and Fabian Hurzeler-led Brighton & Hove Albion all enjoyed fruitful domestic seasons in England in 2024/25. As a result, they are set to earn £31m, £33.8m and £36.7m, respectively, as they, albeit looking further ahead, want to secure European football for 2026/27.
Nottingham Forest were once poised to secure a return to the continent’s top tier club competition – but the Garibaldi, instead, finished the term in seventh place with the Europa Conference League (and £39.4m) to contend with instead. Europa League-securing Aston Villa, who finished sixth, are set to earn £42.2m.

Newcastle United and Chelsea, thanks to their last-day exploits of securing Champions League football, are also set to line their pockets. Respectively, the two clubs – both of whom are excited about Europe’s top table – will earn £45.1m and £47.9m.
Upon Kevin De Bruyne’s departure, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City may have gone the season trophyless – but finishing in the top four was inevitable, wasn’t it? A 2-0 win against Fulham saw them pick up a bronze medal in an otherwise uncharacteristic season.
Arsenal, having finished in second place three seasons on the bounce, are set to earn an eye-catching figure of £53.5m. Next season, in the eyes of Mikel Arteta and his entourage, he will be the one to finally secure gold.
Arne Slot has managed to alleviate the post-Jurgen Klopp stress by winning the Premier League title in his maiden season – and, as such, the Dutchman’s side are poised for a hefty windfall as a result. In fact, they could earn around the £56.4m mark.
