How Much Money Every Premier League Club Earned During 2024/25 Season

As Liverpool paraded with the Premier League trophy aloft, the curtains were drawn on another season of English top flight football. Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle United earned Champions League football; Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur finished in the bottom half, while Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town were all demoted to England’s second tier.
Now to be finalised is how much each club, from the title-winning Reds to the three relegated outfits, will pocket in terms of domestic prize money. The folks over at The Athletic, despite not having the exact figure at hand (the Premier League released them in June 2024 for last season), have made a series of educated guesses with a plethora of information at their disposal.
Note: Per The Athletic, the Premier League’s prize pots are split into two broad categories covering broadcast income: income derived from domestic broadcast contracts (the UK portion), and income from overseas (the International portion). In addition, there’s a central commercial pot, shared equally among the 20 clubs.

Unsurprisingly, the three relegated sides are expected to line their pockets with the least amount of money – but, that said, the figures are not to be sniffed at. Southampton, who finished rock bottom as one of the Premier League’s worst sides of all time, are expected to earn around the £110.9m mark.
Ipswich Town and Leicester City are also preparing for a stint in the Championship after succumbing to relegation – but they, from their season in the top tier, are poised to earn £112.9m and £119.2m, respectively. Both teams need to invest smartly this summer.

Throughout history, Leicester City has been home to many famous faces who have won the biggest trophies in football.
Wolverhampton Wanderers’ season was saved by the arrival of Vitor Pereira, as evidenced by his seven-game unbeaten streak between March and April. The Old Gold, in the end, finished in 16th place in the table and will earn £125.8m.
This season’s Europa League winners, Tottenham Hotspur, endured a difficult season from a domestic standpoint. Pre-season, finishing 17th was never on the cards – but that was the case, and they’re set to earn £130.4m as a result.

West Ham United, managed by Graham Potter, and David Moyes-led Everton both enjoyed topsy-turvy campaigns in 2024/25, though neither were able to crack the top half of the table. Respectively, they are in line to pocket £134m and £135.2m for their Premier League exploits from the season just gone.
Despite languishing in 15th by the time the season came to a close, Amorim – one of the best young managers in world football – and his Manchester United side are always going to attract interest and their facility fees speak for themselves. Overall, the Red Devils are set to pocket in the area of £139.5m.
Crystal Palace’s crowning moment this campaign was beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final – but their anticipated 12th-placed finish could earn them in the region of £139.8m. Should Oliver Glasner use that wisely, they could be the top flight’s dark horse.

Thomas Frank’s Brentford and Bournemouth, led by the exciting Andoni Iraola, remain two of the biggest English clubs to never win a major trophy after a season of near-misses. In the Premier League, they respectively finished in ninth and tenth.
And, as a result, they are both set to earn just shy of £150m in payments from the Premier League. As are Brighton & Hove Albion, who finished four points behind Nottingham Forest – and thus, merely outside European qualification.
In terms of the Garibaldi, their Champions League dreams petered out amid a sudden drop in form and in finishing seventh, The Athletic estimate they will pocket £157.5m. That could come in handy with plenty of stars attracting interest.
After losing 2-0 on the final day to Manchester United, Aston Villa learned their fate: it would be Europa League football instead of competing against the very best. Thus, Unai Emery and his men are in line to add £164.6m to their transfer kitty for the summer.

Chelsea and Manchester City, respectively, follow Eddie Howe’s side after securing passage into Europe’s top table. Both sides were not at their best, but the nature of their star-studded squads allowed for a top four finish. They are both expected to earn north of £165m but shy of £170m.
