Aleksandar Mitrovic could make stunning Premier League return as three clubs weigh up £40m swoop

Aleksandar Mitrovic could leave Al Hilal this summer, talkSPORT understands.

The 30-year-old has scored 68 goals in 79 appearances since joining from Fulham for a fee in the region of £50million in 2023.

Al Hilal are focused on incomings as they look to add marquee signings ahead of the Club World Cup, but they will also need to sell some stars to keep within the foreign quota rules.

The Riyadh giants are working on a deal to sign Victor Osimhen, who is open to a move to Saudi Arabia.

And there is even talk within Saudi that Cristiano Ronaldo could be loaned to Al Hilal for the Club World Cup.

That is despite the club’s CEO Esteve Calzada calling the rumour ‘science fiction’ back in December.

Manchester United legend Ronaldo is also discussing a two-year renewal with Al Nassr.

It’s believed that Al Hilal are prepared to sell or loan Mitrovic, but suitors may have to be patient because they want to finalise a replacement first so they are not left thin ahead of the Club World Cup.

A return back to the Premier League for Mitrovic is possible with West Ham and Everton both monitoring the situation.

Manchester United are also considering a move after missing out on Liam Delap to Chelsea.

Viktor Gyokeres is the dream target, but it remains to be seen whether the Sporting Lisbon marksman is prepared to join now that United have no European football this season.

Meanwhile United don’t currently have the finances to pull off a deal without outgoings first.

talkSPORT understands Mitrovic is available for around £40m.

The Serbia striker is even prepared to take a pay cut.

Al Hilal are yet to receive and bids, but are braced for offers and prepared to engage with clubs once a new number nine arrives.

Fulham are not expected to try and bring Mitrovic back.

Central Saudi dealmakers are keen to show a two-way market is possible this summer with several outgoings possible.

Al Ahli’s Gabri Veiga is one example, with the 23-year-old midfielder on the verge of joining Porto for around £14m.

Saudi officials don’t view these exits as players jumping ship.

They plan for periodic squad refreshes and believe several names purchased have either protected their value or increased it allowing clubs to bring in funds and become more self-sufficient.
