Flamengo reportedly made a loan approach six months ago to help Paqueta avoid attention in England due to betting allegations.
Ex described the current situation as very complex and uncertain. While West Ham’s playing staff were confident Paqueta could continue with the club, the chairman was more cautious about his future. The new head coach, Julen Lopetegui, emphasized the club’s support for Paqueta, stating they consider him family and are eager to see him back on the pitch.
