Manchester United are sending top officials to the new Everton stadium for meetings ahead of planning their own new stadium, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The newspaper has reported (14 July, page 75) that it is unknown whether Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be a part of the group travelling to “check over” the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium.
Man United officials will meet with their Toffees counterparts and the construction team of the new stadium soon.
This is as the Red Devils owner looks to “plan their vision” for a new stadium to replace Old Trafford with the INEOS group “intent on creating a 90,000 seat ‘Wembley of the North”.

The upcoming campaign will be the Toffees’ final at Goodison Park ahead of a long-awaited move to their new arena.
This will represent the end of an era for the club but there is no doubt that The Grand Old Lady has some problems which have been there for a while.
To have a club like Manchester United come in and use Everton and their construction as an example of what they want to do should fill supporters with confidence.
This does point towards the new stadium being best in class and something that other Premier League clubs could look to aspire to.
United haven’t ended their pursuit of the Englishman all summer and have been keen on getting him on a cut-price fee this summer.
It will be interesting to see what the result of this meeting at the Bramley-Moore Dock is and what it will lead to in the coming months
