But manager Brendan Rodgers had been keen to keep Taylor as well with loanee Jeffrey Schlupp having returned to Crystal Palace.

Announcing his exit, Celtic thanked the defender for being “a key figure” in their successes since he signed in 2019.
Taylor won five league titles, three Scottish Cups and three League Cups, including the treble in 2022-23.
There is no need to add to the comment about Taylor being a key player, the BBC notes that Taylor made 216 appearances for Celtic, by any metric 36 appearances a season over six seasons is a key player.
While the state broadcaster drools over Tavpen at Ibrox Taylor picked up a winners medal for every 20 games as a Celtic player, Captain Disappointed picks up a winners medal every 170 appearances with that figure rising #levels.
