Kalvin Phillips ready to move with 3-conditions sets out! ‘Fans would love it’ – Keith Wyness back Everton to land ‘perfect’ signing!

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has insisted he would be “very keen” to see Man City star Kalvin Phillips join the club on loan.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – claimed Evertonians “would love” the 28-year-old, whose reputation has suffered after moving to City in 2022.

It is believed both Everton and Aston Villa have been keeping an eye on the midfielder’s progress, but sources say a loan move would be the preferred option for both clubs.

He spent the second half of the 2023-24 campaign on loan at West Ham but failed to impress in 10 total appearances for the Irons.

The England international is under contract at Man City until June 2028.

Everton fans ‘would love’ Man City star Phillips to join, says Wyness

When asked if he would like Phillips to come to Goodison Park, Wyness told Football Insider‘s Insider Track podcast: “Definitely.

“I’d be very keen to see Kalvin come on loan to Everton.

“It would do him the world of good. To me, it feels like he would be exactly the right player to feed off Sean Dyche’s energy.

“I think he would get it and bond with the other players, he’s not an egotistical type.

“He’s a high-quality player, but he revels in the teamwork situation.

“I think he’d be perfect at Goodison, the fans would love him.

“I know he wants a permanent move, but that won’t come to fruition at Everton this summer. Hopefully the club can sort this one out.”
