A CELTIC fan who allegedly mocked the Ibrox disaster at an Old Firm game has been temporarily banned from football matches.
Darren Malloch, 35, was in the dock today at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

He is charged with conducting himself in a disorderly manner during the 1-1 draw at Ibrox Stadium on May 4 2025.
Court papers allege Malloch, of the city‘s Parkhouse, behaved in an aggressive manner.
It is claimed that he directed offensive imagery and gestures pertaining to the Ibrox disaster towards fans seated in the home section of the stadium.
Malloch made no plea today to the charge of breach of the peace.

Prosecutor Tammy Gibson requested special bail conditions that Malloch not attend any regulated football match.
The fiscal depute also asked that Malloch not attend Ibrox Stadium.
Isla Sinclair, defending, said that the football ban would be “disproportionate.”
The lawyer added: “He has never been in trouble before.”
Sheriff Iain Fleming agreed with the Crown motions “due to the nature of the charge.”
A further hearing will take place in August this year.

It has previously been reported that Malloch received an indefinite ban from Celtic Park.
In a statement after the match, Rangers said: “It is deeply upsetting that once again, an incident like this has occurred.
“As the club has stated before, the Ibrox disaster remains the darkest day in our club’s history and continues to affect a number of families to this day.
“The mocking and celebration of any tragedy is abhorrent, and has no place in any football stadium or society as a whole.
“The club urges the justice system to take the appropriate action over these matters.”
