🚨 WHAT HAVE WE JUST WITNESSED 🚨 Talk about a goal that’ll make you say ‘wow’ out loud. Can we get that from him again 🤯 We’ve broken the replay. A simply outrageous piece of skill we might not see again for some time! 🚀

Newcastle United have followed yesterday’s 4-0 win over Girona with a strong start against Ligue 1 side Stade Brest, with Harvey Barnes on the scoresheet at St James’ Park to hand us a 1-0 lead.

As you can see below, the winger was picked out via Lloyd Kelly’s impressive ball from deep before cutting inside, working the space and firing past the Brest goalkeeper to put Eddie Howe’s Mags in front:

A trademark finish from Barnes and his second of pre-season after scoring in our 3-1 win over German side SpVgg Unterhaching last month.

So far, Will Osula has been a real threat up front and had a neat finish disallowe for offside after showing his rare mix of pace, movement and physicality up top. Bruno Guimaraes is pulling the strings and Kelly has shown impressive distribution from the back, aside from one first-half lapse.

STARTING 11: Dubravka – Trippier (c), Schar, Kelly, Lewis – Harrison, Bruno, Willock – Almiron, Osula, Barnes.

SUBS: Vlachodimos, Gillespie, Ashby, Heffernan, Stanton, Hernes, Emerson, Munda, Sanusi, Shahar.
