Dominic Calvert-Lewin is keeping his options open in Everton contract negotiations, sources have told Football Insider.
The 27-year-old is reluctant to commit to a new deal at Goodison Park despite a new takeover twist which sees Dan Friedkin set to buy the club.

Everton announced on Monday (24 September) that an agreement over the terms of the sale of Farhad Moshiri’s 94% stake has been reached with Friedkin.
Calvert-Lewin’s contract is set to expire at the end of the 2024-25 campaign and he can negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs in January.
It is believed a display of ambition could persuade the striker to sign on at Goodison – but he is currently still keeping his cards close to his chest.

Clubs in England are monitoring Calvert-Lewin’s situation as he is set to become a free agent at the end of this season.
He has made five appearances so far in the 2024-25 campaign, notching two goals and one assist.
The England international is the preferred striker option for Sean Dyche with Beto also on the books at Goodison.

He has made 252 Everton appearances since signing from Sheffield United in 2016, notching 70 goals and 19 assists.
Calvert-Lewin signed his last contract extension in March 2020.
