Eddie Howe now claims ‘no one sees’ just how hard ‘very talented’ Newcastle player works

Newcastle United appear to be growing into the season.
Indeed, after a difficult start, Eddie Howe’s side have now beaten both Chelsea and Arsenal in consecutive games to raise morale again.

While no one will be getting too excited given the inconsistency that has derailed Newcastle for a while now, the signs are certainly promising.
It shows that things can improve with a bit of hard work and time.
Perhaps no one exemplifies that better than Lewis Hall.
The youngster has spoken openly about the struggles he first endured at St James’ Park but has since come good, establishing himself as the first-choice left-back this season.
Such has been the level of his form, teammate Joe Willock suggested the 20-year-old was now the best in his position for England, something interim Three Lions coach Lee Carsley may agree with.
Hall, after all, was called into the England squad for their upcoming games against Greece and the Republic of Ireland.
Speaking about his defender at Friday’s pre-match press conference, the Newcastle United manager was full of praise.
Hall is understood to have surprised staff with his dedication to put himself through double training sessions in an effort to improve.

Reflecting on his rapid-fire progress, Howe appeared to confirm that, saying “no one” sees just how hard the “very talented” Hall is working.
“We signed a very talented player,” he told The Chronicle.
“There’s no doubt about that. He just had a few things to work on – as you do.
“I think the most impressive thing about Lewis last year was that he committed to that, and the work that you put in behind the scenes that no one sees – the double sessions & the individual work – credit to him for doing that and staying very in the present and being able to day in, day out, produce consistency in his training performances.”

Having struggled upon his initial move from Chelsea, Howe is understood to have told Hall it was down to him to integrate himself in the Newcastle squad, making sure he earned the respect of his teammates.
That was certainly a gamble for a young player leaving his boyhood club but, thankfully, it has paid off.
Another example of some excellent management from Howe.
