The ex-West Ham boss is looking for a return to management and is set to be approached for his opinion in the next 24 hours.
And with Dyche still reportedly having the full backing of Farhad Moshiri and the current Everton board [Alan Myers via Sky Sports News, 25 November], and Friedkin unlikely to come in and have the power to make any decisions until mid-December, Moyes could be tempted to join Leicester City rather than wait around for a potential move to Goodison Park.
However, missing out on Moyes and sticking by Dyche, who is quickly becoming unpopular at Goodison Park, could prove to be a very costly decision for Everton.
Therefore, while Moshiri still backs Dyche, with news that Moyes could now become unavailable, the current Everton chairman needs to think long and hard about whether he really wants his final act on Merseyside to be an unpopular one, which sticking by Dyche and missing out on Moyes might prove to be.
