With the Toffees faithful keen to see the end of Moshiri’s dismal tenure at Goodison Park, they were even prepared to have Textor at the helm despite his poor track record as an owner.

At that time, Textor appeared to be the saviour the Premier League club needed. However, a few months down the line, the tables have turned.
Textor-owned Lyon risk being relegated to the second division of French football if they do not balance their books by the end of the season [Daily Mail].
The Ligue 1, therefore, might have to sell some of their best players in the January transfer window as they look to claw their out of trouble.
This situation could force Textor to seek help from Everton, who retain an interest in signing Ernest Nuamah after missing out on him in the summer [Foot Mercato].
Lyon will not stand in the Ghana international’s way if they receive a good offer for him in January.
However, they are hopeful of recouping the £20.6million they forked out to acquire the winger’s services in the first place.
This is a bit too optimistic of Lyon as the 21-year-old has only one assist to show for his 13 appearances across all competitions.
Textor will, therefore, be hopeful that the Toffees can do him a favour and offer the best possible deal for Nuamah.
Sean Dyche’s side, though, have their financial problems, although Dan Friedkin’s takeover is expected to resolve some of them, and are unlikely to dance to the French club’s tunes.
