The ex-Goodison scout expects the club to be on top of things at Bramley-Moore Dock, which will have a “magnificent” feature for supporters to enjoy.
It comes after footage emerged showing apparent flooding at Everton’s new stadium on Thursday [The Mirror, 5 December], which could impact a potential lucrative naming rights deal.
However, King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – thinks the Toffees would prefer to get these issues out of the way ahead of the summer.
“Bramley-Moore Dock isn’t due to open until next summer anyway,” King said.
Therefore, we’re still around six or seven months away. These issues can be rectified in that time. There are going to be teething issues, there usually are.
However, these are teething issues that the club would prefer to have now, not in June or July before the beginning of the season. I think those things will be rectified, that is for sure. I would imagine that the club are on top of this situation.”
