Everton have struggled for a striker who can provide a regular source of goals in the past couple of seasons.
Sean Dyche has tried to rectify the problem on multiple occasions by bringing in players such as Beto to bolster their ranks but, this season, that already seems to have failed.
At the moment, Everton sit 15th in the Premier League and while The Friedkin Group have just completed their takeover of the Merseyside outfit, their plans for future transfer windows are already being discussed.
Prior to the confirmation of their takeover, the Toffees were linked with a transfer for Rangers gem Hamza Igamane thanks to his recent spell of form [Mountakhab, 19 December].
Described as “sensational” by BBC commentator Steven Thompson (BBC Radio Scotland, 12 December, 21:06pm) after the composure he showed for his goal for the Gers against Tottenham in the Europa League on 12 December, the Morocco youth international has sprung into action over the last few weeks, which has piqued the interest of a fair few English clubs.

As aforementioned, the form of Beto and even Dominic Calvert-Lewin has left a lot to be desired this term with neither attacker playing to the standards expected.
Of course, they did bring in Armando Broja on a season-long loan from Chelsea at the start of the season but due to the injury he was nursing, he’s yet to make his first start for the Merseyside outfit.
He has made the odd appearance off the bench and while his cameos have looked promising, it still feels like the transfer of a striker should be on top of Dyche’s letter to Santa.
Igamane only joined Rangers in the summer but thanks to the form he’s shown over the last few weeks, it feels like he could already be ready for bigger and better things, especially when the fact that he’s just 22 years old is taken into account.
Obviously, there are plenty of other strikers the Toffees could look towards but if they don’t want to break the bank and want to bring someone in who’s likely to make an impact, it feels like Igamane is the player they need.
