Seamus Coleman admits he’s not sure about staying at Everton
The Ireland international has been a figurehead at the club for many years with Coleman already warning the Friedkins ahead of their time at the club.
But his time at Goodison is set to come to an end over the summer and the right-back was very honest after the game on his future.
Speaking to Amazon Prime, the 36-year-old admitted he wasn’t sure whether he will be looking to stay on at the club.
“I’m not sure. I’m kind of – I know it’s cliche – but I’m one game at a time,” he said when asked whether he wants to stay.
“I just want to help the club, help the lads in any way that I can and obviously you want to be on the pitch. It’s been a bit difficult for me recently, but I can still influence things.
“As long as Everton are ok going into next season is the priority, for me.”
Carlo Ancelotti hailed Coleman’s professionalism during his time on Merseyside saying the defender set the example for others at the club.
Which does beg the question whether he should be kept at Everton over the opening stages of the new ownership.

What Coleman said to Man City’s Erling Haaland
Jordan Pickford was able to put off Erling Haaland before saving his penalty in the second half by pulling faces at the striker.
It was a crucial save which kept Everton on level terms and ultimately sealed them a point against the reigning champions.
However, Coleman also had a word with the Manchester City striker prior to him taking the spot kick, which may have also had an influence.
“No comment. Listen, we came here wanting to get a point and you do anything you can sometimes to win,” he said.
“There was no swearing or anything like that,” he joked as some suggested he said Merry Christmas.
