What a terrible player’ – Gabby Agbonlahor says he would love to have played against West Ham man

Gabby Agbonlahor was literally disgusted with the performance of one West Ham United player in particular during our 5-0 defeat to Liverpool.

West Ham were hammered by Liverpool at the London Stadium and Gabby Agbonlahor didn’t hold back with his criticism of one of our players.

The Hammers’ performance as a whole was horrendous, with Lucas Paqueta standing out as one of the very worst.

However, it was someone else who incurred Agbonlahor’s wrath.

Julen Lopetegui looked crestfallen on the touchline as his side were played off the park by Liverpool.

The Spaniard has to take a lot of the blame though – his cowardly tactics were unacceptable in the extreme.

Another one of his issues is the fact that he’s placing way too much trust in players who simply aren’t up to it.

One specific Hammer was so far off the pace yesterday it was beyond laughable.

Gabby Agbonlahor rips into West Ham player

There were plenty of shocking performances on display at the London Stadium on Sunday.

Only a few West Ham players deserved credit after that shambolic showing.

And one player in particular was so bad that Lopetegui will surely have to drop him now.

Konstantinos Mavropanos has been really poor for West Ham since he joined us from Stuttgart in the summer of 2023.

The 27-year-old has all of the skills needed to succeed in the Premier League, but he seemingly cannot improve upon his weaknesses.

Mavropanos struggles with concentration, has terrible positional awareness and is extremely error-prone.

Agbonlahor took to his X account after our loss to Liverpool, and absolutely ripped into the Greek centre-back:

I make Agbonlahor right here – Mavropanos is a terrible defender.

The 27-year-old is an accident waiting to happen in every single match he plays for the Hammers.

Konstantinos Mavropanos should be sold at the very first chance West Ham get to do so.

The former Arsenal and Stuttgart man is nothing more than a liability, and the more he plays for us, the more he will cost us poitns.

The fact that Lopetegui continues to start him ahead of Jean-Clair Todibo is actually laughable.
