Newcastle United will look to try to do business in the January window, but the Magpies need to sell players first.
Once again, the Magpies will focus on adding depth in the right-wing areas.
Miguel Almiron has barely featured under Eddie Howe this season, and he is likely to leave Newcastle in the January window.
According to a report from Sky Sports, Newcastle have joined Liverpool in closely monitoring the likes of Bryan Mbeumo and Antoine Semenyo.
Mbeumo would reportedly cost around £50 million. Howe is a keen admirer of the Cameroon forward, but it won’t be easy to lure him away from Brentford in January.

The 25-year-old has been enjoying a terrific 2024/25 campaign for Brentford. He has scored 11 goals in the Premier League already and has provided two assists.
Thomas Frank has made it very clear that Brentford have no interest in selling their prized asset in January, and it would require a massive bid from the Magpies to lure him away.
Moreover, Brentford are tough negotiators, and they are likely to demand a high transfer fee for the Mbeumo, who has been hailed as a mini version of Mohamed Salah by pundits.
If Newcastle can sell players like Almiron, Kieran Trippier, Callum Wilson, Sean Longstaff, Martin Dubravka and Isaac Hayden, they will free up the space and wages, and it will boost their finances as well.
Fabian Schar, Jamaal Lascelles, Emil Krafth, John Ruddy and Mark Gillespie will also become free agents next summer, and the club could cash in on them if the offer is right.
The Magpies could also look to bring in a new central midfielder, goalkeeper and right-back, but it looks really difficult to do all such deals in January.
Newcastle are fifth in the Premier League table, only three points behind Chelsea, and Howe should be properly backed in the market to take the club into the top four.
