Gary Lineker has identified the one area that Leicester City must address in the transfer window after their latest setback.
Leicester were beaten 2-1 by Aston Villa on Saturday to make it five league games in a row where they have tasted defeat.
The Foxes are 19th in the Premier League table and according to the latest Opta stats, Leicester are one of the favourites for relegation.
Villa boss Unai Emery praised Leicester for their performance but that didn’t affect the result and Lineker thinks a signing in one key area could be the difference between staying up or suffering an immediate return to the Championship.

Lineker has always been passionate about his beloved Leicester having supported them and come through the Foxes academy.
The Match of the Day presenter was on hosting duties for the latest round of fixtures in which Leicester equalled an unwanted 22-year record following defeat at Villa Park.
The Leicester legend still believes that the Foxes can stay up, so long as they sign a central defender.
He said: “If Leicester sign a defender in the window, a good one, I still think they’ll stay up – I hope! Another defeat, that’s five in a row.
“Despite an improvement in their overall play recently, they just leak too many goals.”
A centre-back is on Leicester’s radar and the likes of Valentin Gomez, Adilson Malanda, and Lilian Brassier have all been linked in recent weeks.

Micah Richards singles out two Leicester stars for mistakes in Aston Villa defeat
Micah Richards believes Leicester will be relegated and the former Premier League title winner had plenty to say about the Foxes’ latest loss.
Bilal El Khannouss has impressed Leicester fans since Van Nistelrooy’s arrival, but Richards pointed out his lack of defensive work in the build up to Villa’s first goal, in which the Foxes failed to clear their lines from a corner.
Richards said: “It’s just basic errors.
“There are multiple times they could have cleared the ball [for the first goal]. Vardy – straight to a Villa player. Soumare – straight to a Villa player. Then Ross Barkley is left in acres of space.
“[Bilal] El Khannouss- just do the job for your team. He’s played well recently, but he needs to do his defensive work.”
James Justin was criticised by Leicester fans after a torrid afternoon at Villa Park, while Van Nistelrooy also subtly called out Justin for his role in Villa’s winner.
He wasn’t the only one as Richards also chimed in to voice his concern.
“The second goal, Justin – who I’m a big fan of – I know he’s had his injuries but he’s been playing okay,” claimed Richards.
“He has an opportunity to clear it, he doesn’t. Then he has two options – he can play it into his centre half or go long. He decides not to do that. He turns again, [Jordan] Ayew isn’t set and it’s intercepted by [Ian] Maatsen. For the good things they’re doing, they need to brush up on that.”
