Bryan King expects Sean Dyche to be sacked if the Friedkin Group completes a takeover at Everton.
The ex-Goodison scout does not believe that the 52-year-old deserves to lose his job at Goodison Park after keeping the club in the Premier League last season.
As reported by iNews (18 June), a deal remains on track for the Friedkin Group – owned and run by Dan Friedkin – to complete a takeover at Goodison Park.
Exclusivity rights are expected to be granted “imminently” to the group.
And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – feels that some big changes could be made once a takeover goes through.
“I personally think a new manager will be brought in,” King said. “However, that does not mean I think Dyche deserves to be sacked.
“I don’t know whether he is the right man to take them into the future, but he deserves to build on what he did last season.
“Whether he is given that opportunity or not we will have to wait and see, but unfortunately there is very little sentiment in football.”
Will Sean Dyche lose his job at Goodison Park once a takeover of Everton is complete?
Dyche worked wonders at Goodison Park last season.
Keeping the Toffees in the Premier League despite all the difficulties they faced was impressive. As a result, the ex-Burnley boss should remain in the dugout next season.
They are likely to be purchasing Everton with big ambitions for the future and unfortunately for Dyche, he has limited experience managing a top-half Premier League team.
Therefore, the club’s new owners could decide to appoint a big-name manager, as unfair as that seems on Dyche.
In other Everton news, Manchester United are to make a player-plus-cash offer for Jarrad Branthwaite.
