Newcastle United trio ruled out v Arsenal –

The Magpies, like Arsenal, are currently in the midst of a busy fixture period, which has saw Eddie Howe name seven changes to his starting XI in back-to-back games against AFC Bournemouth and Bradford City.
While Newcastle’s squad are understood to have come through both matches unscathed, there are still three senior players who find themselves sidelined through injury.
Yoane Wissa
Wissa joined Newcastle on deadline day from Brentford for £55million but is yet to make his debut after picking up a knee injury on international duty with the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The 29-year-old has already missed matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Barcelona, AFC Bournemouth and Bradford, and will also sit out of the next three games against Arsenal, Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and Nottingham Forest.
What’s been said?
Providing an update on Wissa on Tuesday, Howe said: “He’s here, and he’s receiving treatment, no operation needed. Yeah, I think we’re looking at the other side of the international break. We hope he can be fit and available for that first game.
“It was [a] huge [blow]. I mean, you go into the new season with your squad and you feel you’ve got your squad sort of settled and you’ve got a plan. And then, of course, we didn’t even see Yoane. He’s come back injured. And that was a difficult one, having outlaid the money that we have.
“We knew that Yoane was Premier League ready, as it were. You know, he knows the league inside and out and has scored goals in it. But I think, look, it happened.
“We have to deal with it. I think, touch wood, it’s not a long-term injury. We get through the next few games and then he’ll be back.”
Jacob Ramsey
Ramsey, a £39m summer signing from Aston Villa, made his debut as a substitute in the 3-2 defeat at home to Liverpool before starting the following game away to Leeds United.
However, the 24-year-old’s full debut was cut short after he hurt his ankle in a tackle with former Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff.
What’s been said?
Howe said before Wolves: “Jacob Ramsey’s the only other injury concern that we have, he’ll miss the game [Wolves] having suffered from that tackle against Leeds.
“His ankle swelled up at half time, meant he had to come off and unfortunately I think he’ll be missing until the next international break so that’s a big blow.”
Expected return date

Fabian Schar
During the Magpies’ 2-1 defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League, Schar took a heavy bang to the head after blocking Marcus Rashford’s powerful shot but was initially cleared to continue by the United physios.
A few moments later, Rashford then ghosted past Schar in the box to head Barca in front before the former Switzerland international went down for a second time.
Schar was replaced by Malick Thiaw in the 63rd minute, though the exact nature of his injury wasn’t confirmed until after last Sunday’s goalless draw away to AFC Bournemouth.
What’s been said?
Howe said: “I think he’s doing okay, yeah, I think it was a 12-day concussion for Fabi. All the checks were cleared on the pitch, but this was a concussion that was diagnosed after the game.”
