Sunderland summer signing will be ‘among the best in the Premier League’ – Manager convinced about him
Sunderland summer signing Noah Sadiki will be ‘among the best players in his position’ in the Premier League in two or three years.
That’s according to Congo manager Sébastien Desabre, via Africa Foot, who believes the 20-year-old is destined for greatness with Sunderland.
He joined the Black Cats in a deal believed to be worth €17m plus €3m in addons from Belgian side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
He has earned himself a growing reputation in Belgium after establishing himself in the Union SG team early in his career, going on to make 108 appearances in total for them with two goals and eight assists.
He’s been thrown in the deep end at Sunderland too, starting all four of their games so far, completing 90 minutes in their first three games and 84 in the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace last time out.
All indications are that he’ll be a key player for them this season as they look to stay in the Premier League this season.
Desabre, who manages him on the international stage for Congo and gave him his debut last year, believes he’ll do well and be among the best in the Premier League before too long.
“Noah Sadiki is a very promising player,” he said.
“And he’s going to progress in England. At 20, he’s already very mature. What’s interesting about him is not only his ability to win the ball back, but also his ability to exploit it.
“Furthermore, he’s a very hard-working, intelligent player who quickly understands what’s expected of him. In two or three years, I think he’ll be among the best players in his position in the Premier League. Because he knows what he wants and gives himself the means to achieve it.”
